History:
Over 60 years ago, Jeff Carbone opened a clam bar in Huntington. Jeff would buy clams from the local clam diggers and sell them to the public. Soon after, Jeff’s two older brothers, George and Gerald Carbone, began lobstering. George and Gerald would bring their day’s catch from the Long Island Sound to Jeff, who then began selling lobsters alongside the clams. In 1969, Jeff built the building in Huntington that Jeff’s Seafood remained in until 2023, when they rebranded as Jeff’s Gourmet Market, and relocated to a bigger location right down the street.
Today, Jeff’s Gourmet Market is owned and operated by Vinny Abbatiello. Vinny has owned and operated Jeff’s Seafood for over 30 years. Under Vinny’s ownership, Jeff’s Seafood (which is now known as Jeffs Gourmet Market) continues to provide the Huntington community with unparalleled quality seafood, the freshest produce, Boars Head cold cuts/cheeses, with the same superior customer service. This commitment to excellence has made Jeff’s Gourmet Market the number one retail seafood market and gourmet market in Huntington.
